The weekend after Christmas, Andy and I went to Utah to visit family, friends and to bring in the new year. While in Utah, I was reunited with my college roommate, Katie, and photographed her family in Elk Ridge. We found several locations and took our sweet time trying each one out. The whole family was just so much fun to work with, and made me laugh the entire time! Loved the purple.
I automatically assumed boys would be tough to photograph but these handsome boys changed that assumption - they were naturals and fun to photograph! They were also a huge help in getting their little sister to smile and giggle.
While in Utah for Thanksgiving I was lucky to meet my dear friend's brother and his family - the Lambs. The day after we stuffed ourselves we found an open field and had a nice little photo shoot. Cute, huh?
It was a lot of fun for me to do this engagement shoot. Shaina and John were so comfortable in front of the camera and knew exactly what to do. Can't you tell they're in love?
It was the perfect day to take these pictures - the sun was hiding and the leaves were flashing their color. Tiffany and Quinn were also a delight to photograph. Tiffany looked so beautiful and had perfectly curled eyelashes. Quinn, not only looked handsome, but also brought such life and character to the shoot. There are more of these lovely photos on Facebook and in the gallery.
Last year my friend, Becca, and I went to the BYU-I apple orchard and picked fresh apples. With those apples we made Apple Cinnamon Roll Cupcakes. We decided to do it again this year - we called it our lady date, since our husbands were both swamped with school work. We enjoyed the rows and rows of varied trees, and Becca enjoyed climbing and taste testing a few for fun. Here are a few pictures from our little outing and the end result.
